This bill was introduced by Senator Padilla in 2011 February 18. It is an act of amending Section 1808.23 of Vehicle Code as relating to vehicles. The bill records confidentiality in that the existing laws require that residents have their residence address to be kept confidential. These residence addresses are the addresses in record within the Department of Motor Vehicles. The bill points out some exceptions such as vehicle manufacturers that are licensed in a way that they can do business within the state. The business activities and freedom exception provided is done in the cases whereby the manufacturer, its urgent is under penalty of perjury and request to make use of the information for ensuring safety, warranty, product recall. Barbra introduced several resolutions for designating March 8 and the entire week as the Women’s History Week. Your efforts to keep on extending the National Women’s History Month need to be appreciated as well.
It is through a combined effort that women have become increasingly present in the Senate as well as being active in the same Senate community. It can easily be recalled that the first woman to be appointed to serve as senator was Rebecca Latimer Felton. This woman became a senator in 1922. However, the first woman to be elected in the US Senate was Hattie Caraway in 1932, ten years later. Another woman to commemorate as having contributed a lot to the United States is Margaret Chase Smith. Chase served four terms in the US House of Representative before winning the 1948 US Senate elations. She therefore became the first women to serve in both houses of Congress.
